Basics:
• Windows 2000/NT Server/Workstation or similar.
• Network environment with TCP/IP-Protocol.
• INweb Mail Server runs in the systray.
• INweb Mail Server is designed to be installed in which ever folder you place
it.
Create a directory (folder), fx. c:/inwebMail, as the home base for the
INweb Mail Server. Place inwebMail.exe in that folder.
Execute program - You may then start (double-click) inwebMail.exe.
When you are asked if you want current location as home for the mail server you
may just hit the OK-button.
The inwebMail Server is now running! and you may change the configuration
to match your special needs.
Note - If you are running another SMTP service at port 25, you
need to stop it. Windows2000 is normally installed with "Virtual
standard-SMTP-server" on port 25.
You change that by entering the IIS-manager through the control panel,
administration and internet program management. Expand the list for the computer
you are using and right click on "Virtual standard-SMTP-server". Now
chose "Stop" to stop that server.
