Connection Setup:

The connection setup window looks like this:

   MAIL SERVER NAME

This is the name with which the server present itself when it communicates over the network. From the figure you can see we have entered "YourDomainName". Such a name may be used, but you should make it more informative by choosing something like "post.inwebmail.com" where you have included your domain name as the mail servers name (here inwebmail.com). If the mail server name is not a domain name, you should instead specify the IP-number on which the server operates.

   SMTP and POP3 ports

The field "SMTP-port" is the port number at which the mailserver is listening for new mails to arrive from other mail servers. The port number is normally "25" and should not be changed except under special conditions.

The field "POP3-port" is the port to which the users mail client must connect in order to receive mails. The port number is normally "110" and should not be changed except under special conditions.

   NS - Name Servers

You need to supply the IP-address of the domain name server (DNS) you are going to use. The DNS is used whenever a domain name is translated to an IP-address. Ask your ISP for the IP-address. There is an option for more than one DNS which would be useful in case of malfunction of the first DNS.
